Tenders are invited for Consultancy Supervision Services of "Rehabilitation Works of Bausher (B1) Sewer Network" Tender Fee (RO): RO 500 (Plus 5% VAT) Non-refundable Floated Date: 23-SEP-24 10:20:49 Last Date to Purchase: 03-OCT-24 00:00:00 Bid Submission Date: 04-NOV-24 15:00:00 The Bausher (B1) network was installed and operated in the year 2010, having approximate total length of 304,037m and 11,777 manholes. The pipe diameters range from 160 mm to 2,000 mm; the common pipe materials used are HDPE, GRP and uPVC which is prevalent in the system. The existing network is partially subjected to groundwater infiltration mainly through defective pipe joints and manholes due to bad construction or materials used which is affecting the carrying capacities of the pipes and part of the network is suffering from obstacles in flow due to high deposit through the network pipelines and accumulating septicity with high rate of Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S). The generation of H2S in sewers causes significant corrosion to materials if the sewer surface is unprotected, the area is subject to high water tables that are tidal and highly saline due to the proximity of Bausher to the Gulf of Oman.
