• Quotation are invited for Consultancy Services to Mzec Regulatory and Corporate Affairs. ANNOUNCEMENT DATE: 12/10/2021 CLOSING DATE: 26/10/2021 The Consultant is required to support the department staffs on their tasks/assignments when called to do so by the Regulatory & Corporate Affairs Dept. Therefore, the Consultant is requested to provide a Proposal to provide On-call support whether through personal attendance of his/her staffs at MZEC Premises or through an online support via email/Virtual Meetings. The type of support method is up to the department decision. The following areas/activities are considered where support is more needed, but not limited (consultants can propose further supports areas): - Conducting an audit for the technical data including (Demand Not secured, CA/feeder, Power Quality indicators) addition to the customer service KPI-s which are normally submitted as a part of the Schedule 2 Charge Restriction Condition (SCRC) in annual basis. - Carry out some investigations (technical /non-technical) once required. - Conducting some studies to assess the impact of such changes in the business such as: PV, Consumption behavior due to tariff change, Energy Efficiency, Smart Grids, AMR, structural changes by adopting some assets belong to another Distribution company and others. - Review some connection agreements, providing feedback and recommendations - Drafting opinions on new regulations/ guidelines / directions - Conducting HSE & operational Audits. - Conducting Benchmarking (international/ national) studies to assess the company position technically/financially/ Customer service - Conducting some sharing knowledge/ training to staff to raise up the competency. this may include involving in OJT or overseas visits. - Re assess the Maturity of the regulatory department and develop PDP for RCA staff - Develop/Review some SOPs and to make the required improvements. - Assess the company in privatization - Review some critical submission “short tasks” (tasks will done by RCA , consultant will only review the submission on line) - Support the company during any audit from the Regulator or any external parties - Support the department to develop some models to ensure the accuracy of reporting. - Support the Department on the change management process/ framework, goal deployment, Continuous improvement and lean Six segma projects - Any other tasks/ service can be provided by the consultant
