Expression of Interest are invited for Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project for the Regions (Excluding Muscat and Musandam). Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company (OWWSC ) was established on 1st June 2021 by Royal Decree (131/2020). The Company provides water & wastewater services to all governorates of Oman except Dhofar. OWWSC recently implemented AMR/AMI projects in Muscat and Musandam Governorates and now is planning to expand the AMR/AMI coverage to the rest of the Sultanate's governorates. OWWSC intends to issue a tender to appoint a qualified contractor to supply smart meters (AMR) along with the means of transferring the meter readings (AMI) to a meter data management system in order to provide a fully automated process of submitting daily meter readings and associated alarms to the billing system. The Company intends to install smart meters that have the facility feature to work in pre- and post-paid mode. At this stage, the number of smart meters expected to be installed during within this two years project will be approximately 300,000 Ongoing growth in the number of customers connected to the network will add an additional 20,000 customers per year.
